The pi-lit® ‘smart flare’ incorporate an innovative radio-linked network to automatically sequence the flash. Approaching drivers see a sequentially-lit string of flares much like a runway landing strip that guides traffic around the incident or work zone. They are easy to deploy and provide advanced traffic guidance and safety for motorist and road professionals. pi-lit Sequential Safety Flares has now been granted an exemption from the Federal Motor Carrier Administration (FMCSA) to be used as warning device in lieu of warning triangles or fusee flares.

With all the red, blue and white flashing lights at an emergency scene the pi-lit® Landing Zone kit LEDs stand out in stark relief as flashing green. This enables the pilot to immediately see the obstacle-free LZ site. Low profile units that do not get blown away by the copter’s rotowash like cones do.
pi-lit® LZ Kit includes 5 radio-linked flares with both visible and infra-red LEDs. The flares are placed at the corners of a 100 foot (30 meter) square with one placed outside to designate wind direction OR inverted “Y” free of obstacles.

Using its ribbed design, the cone adapter fits securely to the traffic cone and brings more visibility to the sequential flares. The sequential flares magnetically attach to the cone adapter for ease of deployment. With 3 positions to mount, the user can create a 360 degree warning device or a uni-directional warning lamp. (Sold in sets of 4,6, or 10 and includes carrying satchel)
